Emberstar groomed herself and sighed. Nightpelt walked up to her and sat down. "Emberstar," he mewed. "I know you want to go back and i respect you for it, but starclan forbids it. Please, just forget about Pheonix and live here in the stars. You've done all you can do" Emberstar looked up. "yes, i know but...I'm worryied about Snowclan and Icewing and...and...I'm just not very happy!" Nightpelt blinked in suprise. "im restless Nightpelt. I want to feel the thrill of the hunt, the wind in my fur, its just not the same here. i should be happy but im not!" Nightpelt tried to comfort her, but she just sat down and sighed.
"Nightpelt" she asked suddenly. "what would happen if i went back without starclans permission?" Nightpelt narrowed his eyes and thought about it. "i dont know." he admitted. "no one knows everything. Starclan isnt always right. maybe you should go back." Emberstars eyes shone "but" Nightpelt warned. " when a cat goes back with starclans aceptence, they go back with full memory of what has happened and why they are there." Emberstar blinked slowly "So you're saying if i went back now, its possible i wont remember anything?" Nightpelt paused. "its possible" he mewed. "do yoyu still want to go?"
Emberstar looked down and saw Icewing lost and sad. she saw snowclan and herbkit. she saw Nightclaw sleeping fitfully in snowclan camp. "yes" she whispered "i want to go. i need to go" Nightpelt brushed her flank with his tail. "then i give you my blessing. go now, before dawn rises" Emberstar licked his head and turned to pad away. Taking a deep breath, she stepped down, below the stars toward the forest and her mind went blank
